Crostini with Peppers

Directions

To prepare the crostini, you will need some French-style baguettes or a sliced sandwich loaf: if you use a baguette, it should first be sliced. Butter an oven sheet and arrange the slices of bread on it, which should remain in a medium oven until golden. A sandwich loaf, on the other hand, can be toasted in an electric toaster. Take some Berni Peperoni Grigliati, drain them and cut into fillets.

Season with salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil. Mix well and leave to rest for a few minutes to gain flavour. Take the crostini and, if you wish, rub with some cloves of garlic. Spread with a thin layer of fresh cheese. At this point lay on top of each crostino one or more fillets of pepper and garnish to taste. These crostini make a mouth-watering starter and can also be used to accompany an aperitif.
